You need a Google XML sitemap file in order to do proper SEO for your WordPress blogs or websites. This can be easily done with the Yoast WordPress plugin. This is my favorite WordPress SEO plugin.
There are paid versions of this plugin and I highly recommend them. I personally use the FREE version and it is working very neatly for my WordPress blogs and websites. They are ranked very well on Google.
In order for Google to rank and index your blogposts you need to submit an XML sitemap file in Google Webmaster Tools. This can easily be done with WordPress Google plugin. A free plugin that does everything for you!

Google XML Sitemap for SEO and Page Indexation to Rank your Pages
Google uses Google spiders to crawl your pages and rank them according. This is done by submitting your WordPress xml sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools.
Once you submit the XML file the Google spiders will crawl your pages on daily bases and index your blogposts and rank them accordingly.
